Sarah Lanzo served as an educator in Maryland public schools for 14 years, teaching choral and general music for elementary and middle school programs in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties. Under her direction, Mrs. Lanzo’s middle school choirs have doubled in size, with many of her students performing in various select ensembles.
Mrs. Lanzo received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from the University of Maryland. During her undergraduate years, she was deeply engaged in the campus music community—directing the popular university a cappella group, the Faux Paz, and performing with the school’s premiere choral group, the UMD Chamber Singers, while furthering her piano studies under the tutelage of Dr. Cleveland Page. She has additionally continued to serve as the accompanist for the university’s annual summer program, Terrapin Music Camp, since 2010. Mrs. Lanzo is also the Program Manager of Assemblies with Carpe Diem Arts.
