About Us

Glorystar Children’s Chorus (GCC) was founded in 1996 by Enchin Chen and artistic director Cherie Jeng. GCC has grown from initially 25 to include over 130 choristers ages 5 to 18, comprising five singing groups: Prima, Dolce, Cantabile, Concert, and Chamber Choirs.

Our choral program and activities give children the experience and joy of singing together, and also foster harmony, a sense of pride and self-confidence through teamwork, discipline, and responsibility.

Music education: includes vocal techniques, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, music appreciation, and choral harmony. Our multicultural repertoire, performing in more than ten different languages, includes music from American to East Asian composers.

Public performances: In addition to the annual winter and spring concerts, Glorystar is dedicated to community service and cultural exchange with more than 10 free and open to the public performances per year at libraries, senior centers, community events, and more. It has also been devoted to broadening its member's horizons through its participation in music festivals across the metro area, country and the world.
