Jason McFeaters
Concert/Chamber Choir director
Jason McFeaters teaches choral music and chairs the music department at North Bethesda Middle School in Montgomery County, Maryland.. McFeaters' choir program, boasting more than 250 singers each year, earns Superior Ratings at all adjudications. Mr. McFeaters has been recognized for his outstanding teaching by the Gazette, Bethesda Magazine, Washington Parent, and the Grammy Foundation.He has served as a guest clinician or conductor throughout Maryland. In 2007, his students were selected to perform at Strathmore Music Center with The Kings’ Singers, and in 2016, his students gave youth premiere of a work by Stephen Schwartz.
Winner of numerous competitions and prizes, Mr. McFeaters has performed extensively in the US and abroad.Mr. McFeaters has performed as a soloist with the symphonies of Baltimore, Fairfax, Fort Collins, Gettysburg, Georgetown, the Peabody Wind Ensemble, and the Capital Wind Symphony.He regularly performs with the Capital Winds, the Baltimore Symphony, and the District Saxophone.This summer, Mr. McFeaters will go on tour with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
Jason McFeaters is a native of Baltimore where he received his Bachelors Degree in Music Education from the Peabody Conservatory of the John’s Hopkins University.He also holds a Masters Degree in Performance from the University of Michigan. Mr. McFeaters has taught at the University of Michigan and the University of Windsor, and currently teaches at North Bethesda Middle School and the Levine School of Music. He is a Conn/Selmer performing artist. Jason McFeaters has been a director with Glorystar since 2014.
