Jasmin Lee, a native of Northern Virginia, recently received her Doctor of Musical Arts Degree in Solo Piano and Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park. Ms Lee received her BM from the University of Michigan where she studied with Logan Skelton, and her MM from the University of Maryland, under the tutelage of Santiago Rodriguez and Bradford Gowen.
She has been a featured soloist with the University of Michigan Philharmonic Orchestra as well as the University of Maryland Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Lee is also a dedicated collaborator, and previously held an Orchestral Piano Fellowship under the Collaborative Artists Program at the Aspen Music Festival and School.
In 2016, she received second prize at the International Young Artist Piano Competition. She currently teaches piano at the Suitland Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, where she also regularly serves as a staff accompanist. In addition to maintaining a private studio in Virginia, Dr. Lee has also served as the pianist and organist at Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church since 2014. Dr. Lee has been an accompanist with Glorystar since 2009.
