Hsiang-Ling hsiao

Hsiang-Ling Hsiao, a native of Taiwan, recently graduated with her doctoral degree in Collaborative Piano studying with Rita Sloan at the University of Maryland. In addition to her work in the DC area, Ms. Hsiao commutes regularly to Macon, Georgia as a staff pianist at the Robert McDuffie Center for Strings at Mercer University. In the summer, Ms. Hsiao has been serving as a staff pianist at the Aspen Music Festival and School.

Additionally, being an avid choral pianist, Ms. Hsiao had worked with the acclaimed University of Maryland Chamber Singers under conductors Helmuth Rilling and Masaaki Suzuki in preparation for their performances with the National Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra respectively. She also enjoys every Saturday’s rehearsal at Glorystar because it is a joy to work with these kids. She has been an accompanist with Glorystar since 2009.
