Hai-Bo Bai

Vocal Teacher

Ms. Bai has been the vocal teacher of Glorystar since 2002 and has taught vocal techniques since 1986. Born in Liaoning Province, China, Ms. Bai received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Tianjin Conservatory and the Artist Diploma from The Curtis Institute of Music in 1991. She also studied with Marlena Malas, Mikael Alison, Sylvia Lee, Todd Duncan and Mary Ann Stabile Cooper. She has won numerous prizes, awards and fellowships, including the first prize at the 1987 Tianjin Cup of Hope Vocal Competition, the first prize at the 1987 National Competition of China, and the Li Foundation Fellowship Grant.

Ms. Bai made her debut in 1993 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. and has performed extensively in Germany, Italy, Canada, China and the United States. She has won critical acclaim for her magnificent performances in "Le Nozze di Figaro," "Cosi fan tutte," "La Boheme," "Madama Butterfly," "Tosca," and "Il tabarro." Ms. Bai has been a vocal teacher with Glorystar since 2002.
