The Beginning Choir program concentrates on working with young children (aged 5-7) who audition directly into the choir with little or no musical background. Rehearsals focus on teaching fundamentals of vocal production, pitch, rhythm and music theory through body movement, games and classroom instruction. Repertoire includes simple unison and partner songs in different languages.  Weekly rehearsals are one hour long. Public performances include GCC’s Winter and Spring concerts and one additional public performance.
